Mahj and Mingle: Guided Beginner Play July 22

Mahjong at the center, community at the heart! Join Mahj the Rock on Wednesday, July 22, from 6:00–8:30 PM at Waterloo Coffee in Round Rock for a fun and social evening of mahjong! We'll kick things off with a mixer and Bird Bam cheers before settling in for a night of mahj. Beginner/Guided Play is the perfect next step after learning the basics. This beginner lesson is a supportive practice session designed for newer players who want to build their mahj skills and their confidence. You'll play full mahjong hands while receiving guidance on reading the card, game flow, strategy, etiquette, and common gameplay situations. Ask questions, learn as you play, and leave feeling more comfortable and confident at the table. Registration includes guided play, coaching throughout the session, light refreshments, a sparkling Bird Bam cheers, mahjong inspired snacks, and table set ups. Please bring your 2026 National Mah Jongg League card. A limited number of cards will be available for purchase onsite for $15 + tax. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the event will receive a refund, less applicable credit card processing fees. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.
