Beginner Guided Play - Urban Eat.Drink October 13

Mahjong at the center, community at the heart! 💙 Mahj the Rock is back at Urban Eat.Drink for another evening of mahjong, conversation, and connection! Join us Tuesday, October 13, from 6:00–8:30 PM in downtown Round Rock for Beginner Guided Play—a supportive, social evening designed to help newer players build their skills and confidence through play. You’ll play full games of mahjong with support available throughout the evening. Ask questions as you play and get help with reading the card, choosing a hand, the Charleston, game flow, strategy, etiquette, and those situations that inevitably make you stop and ask, “Wait…can I do that?” Beginner Guided Play is perfect for newer players who have learned the basics and are ready to gain experience and confidence through play. You don’t need to have everything figured out—that’s what guided play is for! We’ll be there with hands-on guidance and support as you play. Your $50 registration includes your first cocktail, wine, beer, mocktail, soda, or tea from Urban, all mahjong equipment and table setup, and guided support throughout the evening. Urban’s food and additional beverages will also be available for purchase. Bring your 2026 National Mah Jongg League card if you have one. We’ll also have cards available to borrow or buy. Comfortable playing independently? Our Open Play option is designed for players who know how to play and are ready to enjoy a social evening of independent play. Space is limited to 12 Beginner Guided Play guests. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the event will receive a refund, less applicable credit card processing fees. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable.
