Mahjong 102: Build Your Game for Beginners - October 22

Mahjong 102: Build Your Game for Beginners Mahjong at the center, community at the heart! 💙 You know the basics. Now let’s build your game. Join Mahj the Rock for Mahjong 102: Build Your Game for Beginners on Thursday, October 22, from 6–8:15 PM at Walsh Ranch in Round Rock. Designed for newer players who understand the fundamentals of American mahjong but want more instruction, practice, and confidence at the table, Mahjong 102 bridges the gap between learning the game and feeling comfortable playing it on your own. In this hands-on class, we’ll reinforce game setup and dealing, work through the Charleston from mechanics to thoughtful tile selection, and then put it all into practice through real games with personalized coaching along the way. With just 8–12 players, there’s plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get help based on what you need—whether that’s choosing a hand, reading the card, understanding a rule, making offensive strategy decisions, or simply figuring out, “What do I do now?” Recently finished a beginner class? You’re welcome here. Played a few times but still feel like you’re putting all the pieces together? You’re welcome here, too. The goal isn’t to know everything before you arrive. It’s to leave feeling more comfortable, capable, and confident at the mahjong table. Registration includes hands-on instruction and coached game play, plus light snacks and refreshments. Know the basics? Come build your game. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the event will receive a refund, less applicable credit card processing fees. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event are non-refundable.
